HAYLEY WILLIAMS UNVEILS SOLO SINGLE & VIDEO FOR “SIMMER”

GRAMMY® AWARD-WINNING PARAMORE SINGER TO RELEASE DEBUT SOLO ALBUM

“PETALS FOR ARMOR” SET TO ARRIVE ON FRIDAY, MAY 8TH

Hayley Williams has announced today’s premiere of “Simmer,” the first single from the GRAMMY® award-winning Paramore singer’s hugely anticipated debut solo album. The smoldering track is available now via Atlantic Records at all DSPs and streaming services; an equally fiery official video – directed by Warren Fu (Paramore, The 1975, The Strokes)  – is streaming now via the official Hayley Williams YouTube channel

Produced by Taylor York, lead collaborator in the GRAMMY® award-winning Paramore, “Simmer” heralds Williams’ upcoming debut solo album, “PETALS FOR ARMOR,” due May 8th.

“I’m so ready and so incredibly humbled to get to share this project,” says Williams. “Making it was a scary, empowering experience. Some of my proudest moments as a lyricist happened while writing ‘PETALS FOR ARMOR.’ And I was able to get my hands a little dirtier than usual when it came to instrumentation. I’m in a band with my favorite musicians so I never really feel the need to step into a role as a player when it comes to Paramore records. This project, however, benefited from a little bit of musical naïveté and rawness and so I experimented quite a bit more. I made this with some of the closest people to me. Their respective talents really shine bright throughout the record. I like to think we all make each other better and the result is something that sounds and FEELS exactly as I’d hoped it would. Now that it’s time to put it all out there, I can finally exhale. I’m excited to let people in to experience a different side of myself that I’ve only very recently become familiar with.”

“Simmer” marks Hayley Williams’ first new music release since Paramore’s chart-topping 2017 album, “AFTER LAUGHTER.” Highlighted by the gold certified “Hard Times,” and singles “Told You So,” “Fake Happy,” and “Rose-Coloured Boy,” the LP debuted at #1 on Billboard’s “Top Alternative Albums” chart upon its May 2017 release while also arriving on the overall SoundScan/Billboard 200 at #6 – Paramore’s third consecutive top 10 chart debut. Along with its popular success, “AFTER LAUGHTER” ultimately proved one of the year’s most critically applauded releases, with The Fader, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, NPR, Billboard, and many more ranking it among their “Best of 2017” coverage.

Paramore has accomplished a truly remarkable run of RIAA certified albums and singles since coming together in Nashville in 2004, from 2005’s gold certified debut, “ALL WE KNOW IS FALLING” featuring the gold certified single “Pressure,” and 2007’s 2x platinum certified breakthrough, “RIOT!” (with its 4x platinum-certified hit, “Misery Business,” as well as the platinum certified singles “crushcrushcrush” and “That’s What You Get”) to 2008’s worldwide 2x platinum “Decode” (from Chop Shop/Atlantic’s chart-topping “TWILIGHT – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK”) and 2009’s platinum certified “brand new eyes” with its GRAMMY®-nominated smash, the 2x platinum “The Only Exception” and the gold certified “Ignorance.”

The band’s RIAA platinum certified fourth album, simply entitled “PARAMORE,” made a chart-busting debut atop the SoundScan/Billboard 200 upon its April 2013 release – Paramore’s first #1 album to date. Named the year’s “Best Rock Album” by Entertainment Weekly, “PARAMORE” showcased a string of singles, including 2x RIAA platinum certified hit, the top 10 “Still Into You,” and the #1 3x platinum hit, “Ain’t It Fun.” The latter track proved Paramore’s biggest single to date, ascending to #1 at Hot AC and Rock radio outlets nationwide, #2 at Top 40, as well as to the top 10 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” – the band’s first ever top 10 hit on the overall chart and their highest peaking song thus far.  “Ain’t It Fun” saw Paramore taking home their first-ever GRAMMY® Award, earning the “Best Rock Song” trophy at the 57th Annual GRAMMY® Awards. In addition, Williams was named that year as the first winner of Billboard’s “Trailblazer Award,” honouring her as a standout female artist who breaks from convention to make a unique mark and pave the way for new talent.

Long regarded as an exhilarating live act, Paramore has spent much of the past decade-plus on the road, including countless sold out world tours and show-stealing festival sets around the globe.

Williams is also an accomplished entrepreneur, co-founding the vegan, cruelty-free hair colour brand, Good Dye Young.

MESSAGE FROM KATE BUSH RE ‘STRANGER THINGS’

When the first series came out, friends kept asking us if we’d seen ‘Stranger Things’, so we checked it out and really loved it. We’ve watched every series since then, as a family. When they approached us to use Running Up That Hill, you could tell that a lot of care had gone into how it was used in the context of the story and I really liked the fact that the song was a positive totem for the character, Max. I’m really impressed by this latest series. It’s an epic piece of work – the shows are extremely well put together with great characters and fantastic SFX. It’s very touching that the song has been so warmly received, especially as it’s being driven by the young fans who love the shows. I’m really happy that the Duffer Brothers are getting such positive feedback for their latest creation. They deserve it.

Madonna made history once again when she topped the U.S. Dance Club chart for the 50th time, making her the first and only recording artist to have 50 #1 hits on any single Billboard chart.

To celebrate this historic milestone, Madonna curated two new collections: FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE: 50 NUMBER ONES, a new 50-track collection that includes her favorite remixes of those chart-topping dance hits that have filled clubs worldwide for four decades, and an abridged 16-track version, simply titled FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE.

These new collections will mark the first album releases to be part of the newly announced partnership between Madonna and Warner Music Group, which will feature an extensive series of catalogue releases across her ground-breaking career.

50 NUMBER ONES spans her entire dance club chart reign with dozens of remixes by the world’s top producers. In addition to fan favorites, the collection also includes a selection of rare remix recordings, with more than 20 being officially released for the first time or making their commercial/digital debut. The collection will be available digitally on August 19, along with a 3-CD version. A limited edition, 6-LP version on red and black vinyl will also be available, exclusively at Madonna’s official store and Rhino.com. Pre-order now.

The 16-track version, FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE, will be available for streaming on June 24, with 1-CD and 180-gram 2-LP versions coming on August 19. Pre-order and Pre-save now.

As a first listen to these collections, the “You Can Dance Remix Edit” of “Into The Groove” is available today digitally for the first time. Listen Now.

Boasting more than 220 minutes of remixes, FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE: 50 NUMBER ONES flows in mostly chronological order, showcasing the many musical reinventions that made Madonna an international icon, from 1983’s “Holiday” to 2019’s “I Don’t Search I Find,” with remixes by some of the biggest and most influential DJs of all time including Shep Pettibone, William Orbit, Honey Dijon, and Avicii.

On several songs, Madonna is joined by other incredible artists, including Britney Spears (“Me Against The Music”); Justin Timberlake and Timbaland (“4 Minutes”); and Nicki Minaj (“Bitch I’m Madonna.”) Each remix was newly remastered for the collection by Mike Dean, who produced Madonna’s two most-recent studio albums, Rebel Heart (2015) and Madame X (2019).

Both of these new collections also highlight You Can Dance, Madonna’s first ever remix collection. Celebrating 35 years this year, You Can Dance has sold more than five million copies worldwide and is still the second best-selling remix album of all time. The collection also pays homage to “Everybody,” Madonna’s first single, celebrating its 40th Anniversary on October 6. Madonna redesigned the album’s chronology by picking three edits from You Can Dance, including “Into The Groove”, “Everybody” and “Physical Attraction,” which reflects the underground club vibes that inspired her first recordings as a Sire artist.

Along with those rarities, these albums also introduce versions that are seeing their first ever official release, including the “Alternate Single Remix” of “Keep It Together,” the “Offer Nissim Promo Mix” of “Living For Love,” and more.

In advance of the debut of FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE in June, one of the 50 chart toppers – “Causing A Commotion” – was spotlighted early as an exclusive release for this year’s Record Store Day on April 23. Three remixes of the track appeared on the limited edition, five-track, red vinyl 12” EP Who’s That Girl Super Club Mix.

Expect more surprises to be revealed later this year around the celebration of Madonna’s 40 years in music.

GAVIN JAMES ANNOUNCES HIS 3rd SOLO ALBUM ‘THE SWEETEST PART’.

GAVIN JAMES ANNOUNCES HIS 3rd SOLO ALBUM ‘THE SWEETEST PART’ – OUT ON JULY 22nd

“Never in our lives have we known emotion so poignant and devastating than what he shares”

WONDERLAND

“Few can convert the full spectrum of emotional turmoil that comes with loneliness like Gavin James”

FAULT MAGAZINE

“raw, honest and vulnerable”

EUPHORIA MAGAZINE

“Gavin has an ability to capture emotions that feel difficult to articulate and even more difficult to project”

TMRW MAGAZINE

With a career that’s earned him 1.8 billion streams at Spotify, 1 Diamond and 45 Platinum & Gold records across the globe, a #1 album in Ireland, a sold-out world tour and live shows with Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Niall Horan and James Blunt, Gavin James is ready to release his third studio album ‘The Sweetest Part’, due 22nd July 2022.

Exploring the highs and lows of love and relationships, Gavin James wrote and produced the full length with some of pop music’s most highly regarded players including Ivor Novello-nominated songwriter Mark Ralph (Years & Years, Clean Bandit, Jax Jones), Fiona Bevan who co-wrote One Direction’s number 1 hit ‘Little Things’ with Ed Sheeran, Patrick Pyke Salmy and multi-Platinum awarded Richard Muñoz (Zoe Wees), Ollie Green (Freya RidingsLewis Capaldi) and Jimbo Barry (The Script). With this, it’s clear the new album has all the credentials to match Gavin’s previous success, which has earned himself arena level notoriety.

Previous singles ‘Circles’, ‘Greatest Hits’ (which spent weeks in the Top 5 at radio in Ireland & Top 5 in Switzerland) and his single ‘Sober’ became staples at BBC Radio 2, with all three releases affixing themselves to the A, B & C playlists. The latter stuck out an unparalleled stint of 8 weeks on high-rotation and the former afforded Gavin an invite to perform a live session at Maida Vale during Will Young’s show, who after exclaimed “you’re an astonishing singer! That was remarkable!”

The title track was written and produced by Gavin and Kodaline guitarist Mark Prendergast, the deeply quaint new number “The Sweetest Part” possesses a lullaby-like quality, as it rhythmically bobs along with James’ vocals swelling and ebbing throughout the track.

Following his UK tour with James Blunt, which started February 3rd 2022, Gavin James will also embark on his Irish headline tour later this year, album in hand. He is no stranger to the live circuit, having played shows with Niall HoranEd Sheeran and Sam Smith, as well as his own sold-out world tour which started in 2019 and ended with a sold-out 3Arena Dublin show, one of the last shows in Ireland before lockdown. Since then, he’s released his number 1 Irish album and airplay-charting ‘Boxes’ EP.

Dubliner, Gavin James has come a long way from his early days busking on Grafton Street. His international touring has resulted in 250,000 ticket sales for his headline shows across the world, including two nights at Dublin’s 13,000 capacity 3Arena.

“The Sweetest Part” will be available physically and on DSPs from 22nd July via Good Soldier / AllPoints. Album pre-order here.

LIAM GALLAGHER SHARES HIS NEW SINGLE ‘BETTER DAYS’

LIAM GALLAGHER SHARES THE NEW SINGLE ‘BETTER DAYS’

FROM HIS NEW ALBUM ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’ WHICH FOLLOWS ON MAY 27TH

“Contains enough sizeable bangers and rousing anthems to kickstart the much-heralded post-pandemic Third Summer Of Love.”–  NME

What can we expect from Liam Gallagher’s eagerly anticipated new album ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’? A set full of classically instant Liam bangers topped by that iconic snarling vocal and his effortless rock star attitude. But this time there’s a twist as Liam infuses his sound with an eclectic array of new influences. It’s an approach that has made his recent tracks, the Top 20 hit ‘Everything’s Electric’ and the album’s title track, instant fan favourites.

Liam today shares his new single ‘Better Days’ which takes that experimental touch to a new level. It’s a shot of sunshine dopamine in audio form, as thunderous, ‘90s-style big beats add jet-fuelled propulsion to a classic crowd-pleasing anthem. Celebrating a summer in which we can all be reunited, it’s a summer song perfectly suited to receiving a huge audience reaction when Liam hits the road this summer.

Liam says, “‘Better Days’ is the sound of the summer.”

Liam also captures that spirit with the song’s official video. Joined by his band, he takes to the roof of the Manchester landmark, the historic Midland Hotel, for a full-throttle performance as crowds gather around to watch from nearby offices and the street. Given another cinematic touch as the sky turns psychedelic, it’s a video that nods to The Beatles’ legendary Apple Corps rooftop show. It was directed by the multiple Grammy nominee Paul Dugdale, whose credits include numerous major artists as varied as The Rolling Stones, Adele, Taylor Swift and Coldplay.

Reflecting the song’s positive spirit, Liam will donate all UK proceeds from the song to War Child for the rest of this year. The charity aims to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children living through conflict, and campaigns on the root causes of conflict to help create a safer future for children in war zones across the world.

Rich Clarke, Head of War Child Records, says, “We could not be more grateful to Liam for his incredible, continued support for the charity. With us since the earliest days of our music-focused fundraising almost 27 years ago, Liam’s contributions have extended to putting exclusive Oasis tracks on our classic ‘HELP’ and ‘1 Love’ albums to donating £1 from every ticket sold on his 2019 UK tour. Now, in these most challenging times, Liam’s generosity stretches further still, to help us reach more children living conflict around the world.”

‘Better Days’ was written by Liam with his regular collaborators, the Grammy-winning Andrew Wyatt and Michael Tighe. Andrew Wyatt produced the song with Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sir Paul McCartney). It also features guitar courtesy of Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

‘Better Days’, ‘Everything’s Electric’ and the title track will all feature on the ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’ album, which is perfectly positioned to become Liam’s fourth UK #1 solo album when it is released on May 27th.

That same day will also see Liam release the ‘Down By The River Thames’ live album. Originally streamed in December 2020, the show became one of the most memorable performances of the lockdown era. Liam followed the precedent set by the Sex Pistols and The Clash, and decided to hit the River Thames, armed with a boatload of attitude, a phenomenal live band (including Bonehead) and an arsenal of classic songs.

Both ‘Down By The River Thames’ and ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’ are available to pre-order HERE in a selection of value-for-money bundles. These include both albums on CD or standard vinyl , as well as a bundle featuring the ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’ cassette and the ‘… River Thames’ vinyl.

Liam has just announced an intimate show at Blackburn’s King George’s Hall to launch his new trainer design LG2SPZL, a collaboration with adidas Spezial – follow #LG2SPZL and #adidasspezial for the latest updates on its launch.

The rest of his summer UK live dates continue in a typically biblical fashion and include phenomenal ticket sales for two instantly sold-out shows at Knebworth Park. Please see his website for a full list of his international shows and accompanying ticket details.

Mullingar Power rock-pop four piece, The Blizzards are delighted to announce their fourth studio album ‘Sometimes We See More In The Dark’ out May 13th

The band used their time in lockdown to explore their music and work on really defining their sound. Honing their melodic, dynamic hooks and crafting their pop guitar-driven song-writing. A true reflection of their musical identity in 2022.

The new album features the singles ‘Friction Burns’, Trigger Me’ and ‘Play God’ and showcases their strongest sound and writing since the bands formation. The previously three released singles are accompanied by equally stunning videos, the bands ethos to work with local Mullingar creative outlets and locations shines through their videos and production.

The initial plan was to release an EP of music, but the bands creativity levels were at an all-time high. A wealth of material developed from time spent in the studio by returning to their roots of just plugging in and playing.

The album making process represented many things for the members of the band but a common thread for all was creative freedom with no restraints..

Frontman Bressie says ‘it was about going back to the rawness of being in a garage band. The idea of making your instruments work for the song rather than the song work for the instrument. Lyrically it felt like the album wrote itself… Like they were there already. That’s always a special feeling because you know it’s coming from an authentic place’

Bassist, Louize Carroll first time making a full length album and being part of the process from start to finishIt’s the first time I’ve been part of an album from start to finish as a bass player and..in many ways I feel more belonging and meaning together as a band with this new body of work. I’m so proud of what the band has achieved.

Lead Guitarist Justin appreciated having a creative outlet during the global pandemic ‘For me it was being given an opportunity to write and record music during the pandemic. It gave us a chance not only to rediscover ourselves musically but also hone our dynamic as a four piece band and I’m looking forward to performing these songs live and likewise for drummer Dec, having a creative outlet during life’s chaos and creating music that represents the bands best material ‘To be in a position at this stage in our lives, where life is hectic and sometimes overwhelming, to be able to find time to create a special batch of songs has been very rewarding. Working creatively where the priority in the feel and vibe of each song has been dictated by us and not the industry feels very empowering after 15 years mostly spent trying to please people’

Niall Breslin aka (Bressie) (Guitar / Lead Vocals), Louize Carroll (Bass), Justin Ryan (Lead Guitar) and Dec Murphy (Drums) are stronger, more passionate and energised than ever and are ready to share it with the world. The previously released tracks are just an introduction to the album, recorded in Camden Recording Studios. The Album was produced and mixed by Aidan Cunningham and Bressie and engineered by Eloise Molle.

Sometimes We See More In The Dark’ out Friday May 13th across all digital platforms and to celebrate the release they will be playing an album launch party in The Academy Dublin on May 14th, tickets are on sale now and will be an explosive live show not to be missed.

THE BLACK KEYS ANNOUNCE THEIR 11TH STUDIO ALBUM ‘DROPOUT BOOGIE’ – OUT MAY 13TH

THE BLACK KEYS ANNOUNCE 11th STUDIO ALBUM,
DROPOUT BOOGIE, OUT MAY 13 ON NONESUCH

FIRST SINGLE “WILD CHILD” + VIDEO OUT TODAY

Dropout Boogie Features Collaborations with Billy F. Gibbons, and Greg Cartwright

After 10 albums, the last five of which have gone top 10 or better, six Grammy awards, and sold-out tours around the world, The Black Keys are back: The duo, called “America’s Most Trusted Band” by Stephen Colbert, and “one of the best rock’n’roll bands on the planet” by Uncut, releases its eleventh studio album, Dropout Boogie, on May 13 via Nonesuch Records. The first single, “Wild Child,” is out today along with a video directed by the band’s longtime collaborator Bryan Schlam. Dropout Boogie features collaborations with Billy F. Gibbons (ZZ Top), Greg Cartwright (Reigning Sound), and Angelo Petraglia (Kings of Leon).

Dropout Boogie will be released one day before the twentieth anniversary of The Black Keys’ first album, The Big Come Up. As they have done their entire career, the duo of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney wrote all of the material in the studio, and the new album captures a number of first takes that hark back to the stripped-down blues rock of their early days making music together in Akron, Ohio basements.

“That’s always been the beauty of the thing Pat and I do. It’s instant,” Auerbach says. “We’ve never really had to work at it. Whenever we’d get together, we’d just make music, you know? We didn’t know what we were going to do, but we’d just do it and it would sound cool. It’s the natural chemistry Pat and I have. Being in a band this long is a testament to that. It was a real gift that we were given. I mean, the odds of being plopped down a block-and-a-half from each other in Akron, Ohio–it just seems crazy.”

After hashing out initial ideas as a duo at Auerbach’s Nashville-based Easy Eye Sound studio, Auerbach and Carney welcomed new collaborators Billy F. Gibbons, Greg Cartwright, and Angelo Petraglia to the Dropout Boogie sessions. Although The Black Keys previously co-wrote songs with frequent producer/collaborator Danger Mouse, this is the first time they have invited multiple new contributors to work simultaneously on one of their own albums. Both Cartwright and Petraglia can be heard on the new album’s first single, “Wild Child.”

“Living in Nashville and making records here has opened both of our minds to that experience a little bit more,” said Auerbach. “I knew Pat would love working with both of these guys, so we decided we’d give it a shot. It was the first time we’d ever really done that. It was fun as hell. We just sat around a table with acoustic guitars and worked out a song ahead of time.” “The cool thing with Greg is that he wants to approach stuff with a story in mind — there’s a plot, almost,” added Carney.

The Black Keys had previously jammed with ZZ Top guitar legend Billy F. Gibbons more than a decade ago in Los Angeles, while ZZ Top was working on an album with producer Rick Rubin. “We never even really wrote one song–we just had some ideas we put down,” Carney said. “We really just wanted to hang out with him. We stayed in touch, and Dan invited him to the studio once we started working on this album.”

Between the duo’s albums, Auerbach, through his Easy Eye Sound studio and label, has produced and co-written with artists including Yola, Marcus King, Robert Finley, Ceramic Animal, and the Velveteers.

Carney has also been busy as a producer at his Nashville-by-way-of-Akron studio Audio Eagle, where he has worked with Michelle Branch, Tennis, Jessy Wilson, Calvin Johnson, and The Sheepdogs, among others.

The Black Keys will tour North America for the first time in three years starting in July. Band of Horses will support on all dates, while Ceramic Animal (July 9-30), Early James (Aug. 24-Sept. 9), and the Velveteers (Oct. 2-18) will open at select performances. A full list of dates and ticket information is below. International tour dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Black Keys Dropout Boogie album is now available for pre-order here. The first single “Wild Child” is out now for streaming and download. A limited edition Dropout Boogie ‘Pink Panther’ vinyl is now available for pre-order exclusively in the band’s online store. Select indie retailers will also be receiving a limited quantity of Dropout Boogie ‘White’ vinyl available for pre-order.
