Friday 7th March 2025, Irish-trio Chasing Abbey have returned with their first single of 2025 ‘Take Me To The Water’ with HARLEE, out now. LISTEN/STREAM HERE

Speaking about their new chapter, Chasing Abbey say the instinctive movement from trad-house to country-dance “feels like a very natural progression” for them. They say “blending genres has always been a core artistic belief of ours and we’re so excited for the next chapter of CA: Get ready for lots of country dance! We collaborated with UK artist Harlee on this one and there’s nothing like a country duet!”

This exciting new chapter for the Irish-trio, sees them teaming up with HARLEE – an English singer-songwriter, best-known for her vocals on Joel Corry’s hit single ‘Lonely’ which dominated the charts in 2020, and further catapulted him into the mainstream of dance music. Reflecting on the opportunity to work together, Chasing Abbey says HARLEE “brought the perfect energy and feeling to the song.”

Speaking about featuring with Chasing Abbey, HARLEE reveals that she jumped at the opportunity. “As soon as I heard ‘Take Me To The Water’ I instantly felt connected to the song. Before now, I’ve co-written every single song I’ve been a part of, so this is something different for me. I’ve also never done a duet until now. Dance music is what propelled me into the music industry, and I think it’ll always be a part of my journey.”

Previously released singles ‘Oh My Johnny (Banks Of The Roses)’ and ‘Learning To Dance (Lanigan’s Ball)’ saw the trio returning to their roots, having grown up as trad musicians. Following the major success of the aforementioned singles in 2023, the trio toured Australia and took some time out to experiment in the studio  with new sounds and genres. This led to the natural progression to their new single ‘Take Me To The Water’ available everywhere now.
