Florence Road today release their highly anticipated debut mixtape ‘Fall Back’.

To celebrate, they have also revealed the official video for ‘Goodnight.’

‘Goodnight,’  a drum-driven track that bursts with energy and features an anthemic chorus made for singalongs at live shows, appears on the Fall Back mixtape alongside previous singles ‘Heavy,’ ‘Caterpillar,’ and ‘Figure It Out.’

The ‘Fall Back’ mixtape is an addictive musical rollercoaster that confidently articulates the feelings involved with being young – the highs, the lows and the sheer intensity of it all. In the spirit of original Irish creativity, ‘Fall Back’ sounds fresh and modern; an innovative but effortless blend of rock subgenres from the haziness of grunge to the slick riffs of indie rock. Their sense of humour is rarely lost as they delve deep into emotive, often melancholic music. It’s an impressively developed sound, one that feels both timeless and new, built on decades of rock tradition and culture, but unafraid to push boundaries.

The release caps off a huge few months for the band, who’ve rapidly emerged as one of the most important new acts of the moment. With a DORK magazine cover under their belt and standout performances at SXSW London, The Great Escape, and beyond, their momentum shows no signs of slowing. Just last night, they played a sold-out hometown show in Dublin to celebrate the release of the mixtape. They’ve been supporting sombr on select European shows and later this month, they’ll join Olivia Rodrigo at Dublin’s Marlay Park (June 24) and BST Hyde Park in London (June 27), before heading into a packed summer of festival slots and August tour dates with Wallows.

Florence Road are a four-piece from Wicklow, Ireland. Made up of childhood friends Lily Aron (Vocals), Emma Brandon (Guitar), Ailbhe Barry (Bass) and Hannah Kelly (Drums), the band spent their teens perfecting their craft in Aron’s garden shed, refining a sound that is as influenced by icons like The Cranberries as it is contemporary peers such as Wolf Alice and Phoebe Bridgers.  However, while influences can indeed be heard, Florence Road instantly sounds like someone new.

First capturing audience attention by posting covers online in their distinct style, the band have built up an ardent fan base with only a couple of official singles to their name, receiving early co-signs from Olivia Rodrigo and beabadoobee in the process.  The ‘Fall Back’ mixtape is an exciting collection of tracks that should serve as ample warning that Florence Road are set to establish themselves as one of the defining bands of their generation.
