TWENTY ONE PILOTS RELEASE NEW SONG “SATURDAY”

NEW ALBUM SCALED AND ICY OUT NOW

GRAMMY® Award winning duo Twenty One Pilots have shared “Saturday,” the third track to be released from their widely anticipated new album, Scaled And Icy, is out now, via Fueled By Ramen [album artwork / tracklist below]. “Saturday” is available now on all streaming platforms along with an official lyric video on the band’s YouTube channel.

“Saturday” follows Twenty One Pilots’ recently released album track “Choker,” which is accompanied by a music video directed by Mark Eshleman for Reel Bear Media, and Scaled And Icy’s lead single, “Shy Away,” which is currently #1 at Alternative Radio for a fourth consecutive week.  Having ascended to #1 at the format in just three weeks, “Shy Away” places the duo in an elite group of acts with multiple songs to rise to #1 at the format in three weeks or less including: U2, R.E.M., The Cure, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Foo Fighters. All three songs are available as an instant grat downloads with all pre-orders of Scaled And Icy, available now in a variety of formats including a special edition box set limited to 35,000 copies worldwide.

Written and largely produced by Joseph in isolation over the course of the past year at his home studio, with Dun engineering the album’s drums from across the country, Scaled And Icy is the product of long-distance virtual sessions and finds the duo processing their upended routines along with the prevailing emotions of 2020 – anxiety, loneliness, boredom, and doubt. The duo had to forgo their normal studio sessions but reached a new of level of introspection in the process, adopting a more imaginative and bold approach to their songwriting. The result is a collection of songs that push forward through setbacks and focus on the possibilities worth remembering. Scaled And Icy is Twenty One Pilots’ first studio album in three years and follows their RIAA Platinum certified LP, Trench.

In 2020, Twenty One Pilots surprised fans with standalone singles “Level of Concern” and “Christmas Saves The Year.”  “Level of Concern” reigned at Alternative Radio for 12 weeks straight and cracked the Top 25 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” chart, while also achieving RIAA Gold certification, and propelling the band to victory at last year’s American Music Awards where they took home the award for “Favorite Artist – Alternative Rock.”  “Christmas Saves The Year” arrived at the tail end of 2020 and debuted on Billboard’s “Alternative Airplay” chart becoming the first holiday-themed song to make the list since 2012.

Twenty One Pilots scored one final accolade in the final moments of 2020, officially breaking the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDfor the longest music video with their history-making regenerative visual for “Level of Concern.” Conceived by the band with interactive director Jason Nickel, and award-winning storyteller / director Jason Zada, the first-ever ‘Never-Ending Music Video’ pulled in fan created content from over 162,000 user submissions, in real time, live on YouTube.  Powered by Imposium, every three minutes and forty seconds a new music video was created and streamed live to YouTube, containing brand new content from fans. Besting the previous record holder, Pharrell and his 24-hour long video for “Happy,” Twenty One Pilots’ ‘Never-Ending Music Video’ for “Level of Concern” broadcasted for 177 days straight with a total run time of 4,264 hours, 10 mins, 25 seconds.

Twenty One Pilots’ 2018 LP Trench ushered in a new era for the duo from Ohio.  Earning Platinum certification from the RIAA, the album was met with critical acclaim with Billboard declaring, “Trench revels in the confounding genre-blurring and cavernous conceptualism that has defined Twenty One Pilots.”  A true global phenomenon having surpassed two billion streams worldwide, Trench is highlighted by the RIAA Gold and Platinum certified alternative hits “The Hype,” “Chlorine,” and “Jumpsuit.” “Jumpsuit” stands as the decade’s fastest rising song to reach #1 on Billboard’s “Alternative Songs” chart and earned the duo their fourth GRAMMY® nomination (Best Rock Song). The acclaimed conceptual collection also features the RIAA Gold-certified “Nico And The Niners” and the RIAA Platinum-certified single “My Blood.”

VANCE JOY UNVEILS NEW SINGLE “MISSING PIECE” OUT NOW

MULTI-PLATINUM SINGER-SONGWRITER RELEASES FIRST NEW MUSIC IN MORE THAN THREE YEARS

“MISSING PIECE” TO BE FEATURED ON ABC’S GREY’S ANATOMY

Missing Piece” is the first taste of new music from Vance Joy in three years, and follows on from his recent collaboration with fellow superstars Benny Blanco and Marshmello on “You.” Written virtually during a COVID lockdown with Joel Little (Taylor Swift, Khalid, Lorde), “Missing Piece” was inspired by people all over the globe being separated from their loved ones during the COVID-19 pandemic and is a song for our times.

“’Missing Piece’ is a song about being separated from someone you love,” Vance says. “It can be tough but when what you have is good you know that these separations are just small stuff; you’re both holding the line. It’s about the stillness you find when you are together. I wrote it with Joel Little on a zoom call. I’m a big fan of his great songwriting and production. I think we tapped into something that’s relatable given so many people around the world have been separated recently due to restricted travel.”

Announced exclusively on Variety this morning, “Missing Piece” will make an impressive television debut on tonight’s new episode of Grey’s Anatomy airing THURSDAY, MAY 20 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. Grey’s Anatomy music supervisor Kasey Truman and Vance Joy spoke with Variety about the song’s meaningful use in the show, with the outlet declaring: “‘Missing Piece’ is a tried-and-true love song, centred on the feeling of finally finding — as the title suggests — your missing puzzle piece. Over uplifting guitar riffs, Joy sings in the chorus: ‘Because when I’m in a room with you, that missing piece is found / You know when you’re by my side, darling, nothing can break us down.’”

“Missing Piece” arrives with a charming, playful video from Melbourne based director Annelise Hickey and sees Vance Joys love going to extreme lengths to deliver him his forgotten lunch.

2021 has already seen Vance Joy teaming up with superstar producers Benny Blanco and Marshmello for the recent single, “You,” which proved an immediate hit upon its arrival earlier this year, reaching the top 20 on both Billboard’s “Alternative Airplay” and “Rock Airplay” charts while earning critical acclaim from such national publications as Rolling Stone, which declared it to be “a sweet and uplifting bit of pop-rock that finds Joy crooning over Blanco and Marshmello’s horn-inflected production.”

Vance Joy’s blockbuster second studio album, Nation of Two, made a remarkable chart debut upon its February 2018 release, entering the SoundScan/Billboard 200 at #10 while also making a top 5 arrival on the “Current Album Sales” chart. Fueled by such RIAA gold certified hit singles as “Lay It On Me” and “Saturday Sun,” the album has since earned more than 500 million worldwide streams as well as Australia’s ARIA Music Award for “Best Adult Contemporary Album.”

Hailed by Entertainment Weekly for its “piercing vignettes of young love and emotional restlessness,” Nation of Two in turn followed Vance Joy’s RIAA platinum certified 2014 debut album, dream your life away, highlighted of course by the 6x platinum certified worldwide megahit, “Riptide.”

Known as a charming, celebratory live performer, Vance Joy has lit up audiences around the world on a string of sold out headline tours as well as special guest turns on stadium runs by avowed fans like Taylor Swift and P!nk. 2018 saw the release of Live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, recorded earlier that same year at the historic Colorado venue during the acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter’s epic “Nation of Two World Tour.”

About the album, Bebe commented, “This is it! It’s everything I’ve always wanted an album to be. I’m not holding anything back about my life and who I am. I felt like all of this time and work allowed me to say everything I needed to. I hope you all love it as much as I do. It really is Bebe fucking Rexha.”

To celebrate the release, the pop disruptor will headline and host her first-ever livestream, A Night With Bebe Rexha: The Better Mistakes Livestream Concert, on Thursday, May 20 at 6pm PT/9pm ET. She’s gearing up to perform hits from the new record for the very first time. Tickets are available HERE with exclusive merch packages. Audiences may enjoy repeat viewings for up to 24 hours after the livestream airs.

The music video for “Break My Heart Myself” featuring Travis Barker made its global broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU and across MTV’s global network of channels, as well as on the Viacom CBS Times Square Billboard today.

Making headlines, Bebe recently sat down for an exclusive joint interview with GRAMMY® Award-winning legend Alicia Keys for Interview Magazinewho described Better Mistakes as “a collection of songs about lived experiences and lessons learned under the limelight.”

Bebe initially teased this chapter with the 2020 single “Baby, I’m Jealous” [feat. Doja Cat], eclipsing 70 million Spotify streams and 54 million views on the blockbuster music video.

Bebe architected a pop opus with Better Mistakes. The opener “Break My Heart Myself” [feat. Travis Barker] hinges on manic bursts of energy and her signature vocal acrobatics uplifted by stadium-ready drums courtesy of legendary blink-182 stickman Travis Barker. Creaky guitar cuts through a glitchy beat on “Die For A Man” [feat. Lil Uzi Vert] as Bebe promises, “I would never die for a man, change who I am. Meanwhile, elusive galactic hip-hop titan Lil Uzi Vert rolls through with a raw and rare cameo. Then, there’s “Amore” [feat. Rick Ross]. Her confident vocals set the stage for Rozay to pull up and do what he does with a gruff and laidback flow. The record culminates on “Mama.” Massive orchestral strings resound as she delivers one final anthem, this time, for her mom. The final confession says it all, “I messed up again, but I swear my heart is as gold as it gets.” Check out the tracklisting below.

Powerhouse songwriter/producer Justin Tranter and Jeff Levin served as the album’s Executive Producers. Better Mistakes also boasts production from the likes of Mike Elizondo, Jussifer, Michael Kennan, The SixLostboy Crow, and more.

With her show-stopping voice and straight-from-the-heart lyricism, Bebe has emerged as pop’s most dynamic, diverse, and disruptive outlier on her own terms. Her vocals and pen powered the RIAA Diamond-certified (10x Platinum) crossover mega-smash Meant To Be featuring Florida Georgia Line. Last week, the Grammy®-Nominated smash hit officially joined the extremely exclusive ONE BILLION STREAMS club at Spotify, marking Bebe’s second song to cross this magic line. Bebe and Martin Garrix’s “In The Name of Love” surpassed one billion streams on the platform earlier last year. Bebe now becomes only one of 10 female artists who have achieved two or more billion streaming tracks on Spotify.

Beyond over a dozen platinum singles and collaborations, Bebe’s 2018 debut, Expectations, reached platinum status and spawned two platinum singles—I’m A Mess and I Got You.” Writing at a prolific pace and pushing herself with every subsequent song, she’s sacrificed to get to the forefront of pop—and she’s going to continue to reign there with her new album.
